Milo Thatch is the main dude. His ambition in life is to fulfill his grandfather's dream - discover the truth about Atlantis. Milo\'s first task is put a team together of experts to assist him in his journey. These team members will each have a special skill. His team consists of Vincenzo Santorini-the explosive expert, Audrey Ramirez-the mechanical genius, Gaetan Moliere-the tunnel expert, and Kida-the kickass wild, fired-up woman of Atlantis. These characters are all-playable and will be used thru gameplay. Keep in mind, the characters should be utilized based on what needs to be accomplished. Switching characters is easy as walking into the Radio.

The first level, Whitmore's Mansion, is quite easy and basically stress free. Milo goes thru a mini training session and has some minimal tasks to accomplish. Collect goodies, and find some secret passageways. The second level, Ulysses, gets a little hairy. Ulysses is the huge submarine. The mission is to get the ship out of the station before it blows. The player needs to exercise some patience and skill, learn how to jump, climb, and swim. Swimming thru passageways without running out of air is probably the hardest task in this level. Each level progressively grows in depth and gets more difficult. There are some challenging missions like learning to steer a sub-pod and fight these nasty giant Scorpions while balls of electricity are zapping the hell out of you. The player also gets a chance to drive a Digger vehicle, a truck, and an Aktirak. Every good story has bad guys and Atlantis has plenty. There are some interesting foes lurking around in the depths of the sea, like Rock Monsters, crabs, spiders, and Atlantean Tigers. If you get too close they can sting the pants off ya. Finding Health will help you stay in the game. The player also gets 5 lives, how easy can you make it?

Controls are simple but there are numerous moves to learn. Some are easy of course and others take some practice. The characters can run, jump, climb, swim, throw and slide to name a few. Maneuvering the vehicles take a bit of practice but are real fun to drive.

The graphics are classic Disney. The characters are very well animated and imaginative. The backgrounds are colorful and detailed. Gameplay is loaded with cinematics and realistic appeal. The water is shaded cool colors of blue, defining air-bubbles, and shadows.

The background music is rather upbeat with an adventurous tone and changes with the mood of the game. There are a variety of sound effects such as splashing, rumbling of the underwater vehicle engines, weapons firing, blasting stone walls, and character outburst. You will also find that some of the character voices are fairly familiar.
